We need your help to build Green Door Homes

In 2010, Jason & Lindy Pieratt invited a group of friends from Rockwall to visit Children’s Relief International’s ministry in Mozambique. The team set a goal to raise funds for the trip and for the construction of a Green Door Home ($3200 at the time). With much excitement, the group decided to host the First Annual Green Door 5K and Fun Run. With 80+ runners and 30+ volunteers, we all felt the race was a big hit. The team raised enough funds to go and help build a Green Door Home.

The combination of helping the local community enjoy beautiful Rockwall, TX and knowing that the funds raised go to help the homeless have a home that will last a lifetime prompted the group to commit to hosting the race again the following year! I don’t think anyone ever thought we’d be hosting the Green Door 5K/10K for the next 8 years but here we are—and we are VERY THANKFUL!

It would not be possible without the support from friends of CRI and the running community around the DFW metroplex.

We are thankful that you have joined us and hope you feel good knowing that your participation is helping those in deep poverty gain a home that will last a lifetime.

See you at the race!
